Annual Fundraising Events

Chocolate Fantasy and Art Auction

Chocolate Fantasy & Art Auction is coming soon, so mark your calendar for Saturday evening, February 28, 2004 from 7:00 - 10:30 p.m. Set in the Grand Ballroom of the CH2M Alumni Center, this annual fundraising event is known as the most elegant evening in the region. Sample scrumptious chocolate desserts created by our region's finest chefs, chat with friends, enjoy live music, and bid on original artwork - all for the cause of keeping the arts at the center of our community!

The table themes for 2004 are: The Art of Dining, The Art of the Getaway, The Art of Adventure, The Art of the Eclectic, The Art of Nature, and The Art of Chocolate. Six artists have been asked to create a unique art "centerpiece" to match the theme of each table. If you would like a sneak preview of these artworks, come to ArtCentrics' Readers Theatre production, "Love and Chocolate," on Sunday, February 8, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. That night ONLY we will offer Chocolate Fantasy & Art Auction tickets for $5 off the regular price (members $35; non-members $40). PLUS, you will see a wonderful show to set the mood for Valentine's Day and have a sneak preview of the six artworks!

Winterlight
2003 Winterlight sponsored by Citizens Bank

Annually November through December.

Winterlight is a Holiday giftshow of fine arts and crafts, and the second fundraiser of ArtCentric. The proceeds from Winterlight support the education program, performances, and the exhibition program.
Artisans from the Northwest are invited to have their wares for sale. Great care is taken to offer you the widest and most attractive collection. Objects include cards, ornaments, jewelry: both custom silver and semi precious stones, functional and decorative ceramics, hand knitted and silk scarves and ties, glass ware, prints etc.
There is always a wide price range to choose from; ornaments start at $2.50, to original prints and paintings.

ArtCentric members receive their usual 10% discount, but during our special "Preview Evening" members receive a 15% discount on all purchases. There is opportunity to become a member the evening of the Membership Reception.

How to participate as an artist:
Selection by the curator starts in May preceding the event. To be invited, artists need to contact Hester Coucke at the Arts Center (541) 754-1551 or at hesterc@atrcentric.org or send in samples, photographs or slides. Please enclose a corresponding list with retail prices. The artists receive 60% of the retail price. All fine art and craft that are specifically suited for gift giving are appropriate.
