Goose Quill Guild

The Goose Quill Guild is a Corvallis/Albany based group open to anyone interested in the art and appreciation of Calligraphy. The guild was organized in 1977 with the OSU art professor Allen Q. Wong as faculty advisor. In 1990, the GQG became a guild member of the Corvallis Arts Center. The purpose of the group is to promote and encourage the art of Calligraphy through sharing of ideas, communicating with other scribes, sponsoring workshops and exhibits - in general to stimulate interest in the calligraphic arts.
Business meetings are open to all members and held at 6:15 prior to each general meeting. General meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:15 pm in the Corvallis Arts Center. No program in July and August. A brief business discussion is followed by a calligraphic activity of interest. Refreshments are provided.
Dues are $12.00 annually and due in September. This entitles members to newsletters, discounts on Guild sponsored workshops and the opportune to participate in exhibits held at various times during the year.
